Melissa + Bryce are two of the most amazing humans I have met. They are so in love, themselves, and silly at all times. Being that Melissa is one of my best friends, it makes it even more fun and special to be able to capture the two of them. They are two fun people that want some fun pictures and that’s exactly what we did.

When Melissa brought the vision board of this shoot I was instantly obsessed. We went to a local grocery store parking lot and that’s where it all went down. It sounds so silly and simple but locations can be the fun part of a shoot. You can go out in nature, your favorite spot, or something as simple as a freaking grocery store to get cool pictures.. It’s all about what the vision is for you.

The outfits for this were fun, simple, and literally Melissa and Bryce. I think oftentimes there is a lot of stress surrounding what to wear to your photoshoot. My simple answer for that: wear what you would wear. Don’t try to be someone or something you aren’t in photos. If you hate dresses and never wear them, please don’t wear one to your shoot. You want to be comfortable and look like you in your photos. Knowing Melissa and Bryce there was probably one piece of clothing in these photos that was thrifted. Don’t overcomplicate the clothing choice.

Tips for your next Destin Florida couples photoshoot

Plan it around an activity, place, or something you enjoy doing together. This will help you both be so comfortable in front of the camera and look just like you. Think about it as your photographer just capturing you two on a date.
Breathe and let yourselves feel a little free. (Much easier said than done, I know) but I promise you if you are just having fun with your person, laughing and letting yourself forget about what is going on you will look and feel like you’re having such a blast. Also much easier if you pick a photographer that makes you feel comfortable. Talk with your photg and make sure you like their style. For example:: the look– very important equally important is the way they photograph… I am very much not a posed and stand still look directly into the camera uncomfortable type of photographer, lol… I am always giving moving prompts and encouraging lot’s of movement to really capture candid shots.
Wear clothes you are comfortable in. I say that ALL of the time, don’t wear something you wouldn’t. The point in getting photos done is to capture you and your person and the love between the two of you.
